20. janvārī pirmo reizi pasniegs Kormūzikas balvu; Mūža balva – Jēkabam Ozoliņam
2024. gada 20. janvārī Mežaparka Lielās estrādes Kokaru zālē pirmo reizi tiks pasniegta Kormūzikas balva - vienīgais apbalvojums Latvijā, kura mērķis ir izcelt izcilākos sasniegumus kormūzikas nozarē, jaunradē, kā arī pedagoģiskajā darbā 2023. gadā.
Pirmajai Kormūzikas balvai pieteikti 116 pretendenti 9 nominācijās - gada koris, gada kora vadītājs/-a, gada kormūzikas koncerts, balva par mūža ieguldījumu kormūzikā, gada jaunrade kormūzikā, gada kormūzikas ieraksts, pārsteigums kormūzikā, gada kultūras, izglītības iestāde, kultūrvieta Rīgā. Pirmās kormūzikas balvas par mūžā ieguldījumu saņēmējs - Dziesmu un deju svētku virsdiriģents un goda virsdiriģents, ilggadējs Liepājas 1. vidusskolas jauktā kora, vīru kora “Nīca”, jaukto koru “Laiks” un “Līva” diriģents, Liepājas pilsētas un novada koru virsdiriģents, Kurzemes dziesmu svētku mākslinieciskais vadītājs, komponists Jēkabs Ozoliņš (1945). J. Ozoliņš apbalvots ar Triju Zvaigžņu ordeni un saņēmis Goda liepājnieka titulu.

Pārējo astoņu balvu saņēmēji tiks paziņoto 20. janvārī svinīgajā pasākumā Kokaru zālē.
Pretendentus vērtēja īpaši izveidota žūrija piecu nozares profesionāļu sastāvā – diriģenti Andris Veismanis, Ainārs Rubiķis (žūrijas priekšsēdētājs), Jānis Ozols, muzikologs Orests Silabriedis un komponiste Selga Mence.
Balvas pasniegšanas ceremonijas tiešraide būs skatāma šeit un un mājaslapā dziesmusvetkubiedriba.lv. Bezmaksas ieejas kartes ierobežotā daudzumā ir saņemamas VEF Kultūras pils informācijas centrā no pulksten 9.00 līdz 19.30.
Pirmās Kormūzikas balvas pasniegšana notiks 2024. gada 20. janvārī. Kormūzikas balvu ierosina un organizē Dziesmu svētku biedrība sadarbībā ar Latvijas Diriģentu asociāciju un pateicoties Rīgas valstspilstētas atbalstam. Balva iecerēta kā ikgadējs notikums. Katras nominācijas uzvarētājs saņems tēlnieka Oskara Mikāna bronzā veidoto balvu.
